Homing requirements

Rabbits

 

  •  our required hutch size is 6x2x2ft. we also home indoors bunnies most people either have free range but if you do want them confined we ask for them to be housed in a large dog cage or puppy pen with a minimum of 6x2x2. we also home to coops, shed, playhouse, kennels etc. we also do home checks and will ask to see the accommodation
  • all our rabbits are neutered to stop them being breed from, to stop unwanted health or behavioral problems. we believe all rabbits should be kept in pairs! so this makes it possible.
  • all our rabbits are vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD to protect them against contracting the virus's. they are all health checked and have there teeth checked.
  • we all ask all rabbit to be homed to be bonded with an existing rabbit or in pairs!(we will advise, fully support and help you all along the way, we even take them and bond them for you if problems arise. if this does still not work we are happy to try them with some of our other rabbits)
  •  a donation of £45 per rabbit is asked of when a donating a rabbit this help the rescue run and helps us feed and cater for the animals we still have in our care!

Ferrets
  • our required minimum hutch size for a ferret is 5x2x2. but we believe bigger is better for any animals. we also home them to be indoor pets but indoors cages must be 5x2x2ft. we also home to kennels, playhouses, shed, coops etc
  • all ferrets are neutered to stop breeding, health problems, behavioral problems, to stop the girls season and also so they can live together happily without worrying about breeding;  
  • all our ferrets are vaccinated against distemper, so we have minimize the risk of them catching it. they are also flea'd, wormed and fully health checked. 
  • we ask for all ferrets to go to homes where they are going to be bonded with the existing ferret or to be homed in pairs. (we will advise, fully support and help you all along the way, we even take them and bond them for you. if this does still not work we are happy to try them with some of our other ferrets)
  • we ask for a donation of 35 pounds per ferret. to cover some of the cost and to help us carry on running and helping animals.

guinea-pigs 
  •  our required hutch size for guinea-pigs is 4x2x2ft or a 4x2x2ft indoor cage. we also home to coops, playhouse, shed etc
  • all our piggies are health checked, mite treated and teeth checked.
  • we can have single male piggies neutered if you want to bond with a female (but we do ask for a donation of £25 )
  • we ask piggies to be homed in pairs or group or to be bonded with a existing piggies of a suitable sex
  • we ask for a donation of 10 pounds per piggie unless neutered. to cover some of the cost and to help us carry on running and helping animals.

rodents
  •  we ask for them to be homed in suitable cages for type and number of animals
  • we ask for a reasonable donation for our rodents, but specialized animals such as degus will have a set donation price
  • all cages will be home visited or need to be proved by photo's

  • we do not home dwarf or syrian hamsters or mice to small hamster cages. we do expect them to be a good size
